The Custom Media Group of Scranton Gillette Communications was founded by award-winning publisher Diane Vojcanin more than a decade ago in response to a client who wanted to do more than just place another ad in our magazines in order to go to market. Our founder went to work and brainstormed some new content ideas for the client, who loved them but realized they did not have the bandwidth to bring them to fruition. And so the Custom Media Group was born.
Today the Custom Media Group, also known as SGC Custom, serves marketers and agencies working for companies and organizations in the water, infrastructure, construction and furniture/lighting/decor industries. Based in the greater Chicago area, our mission is to provide customized branding solutions for advertisers in our core markets and organizations outside our traditional markets. We collaborate with the editorial and sales staff of our magazines to present and deliver these solutions with professionalism, a high level of editorial excellence and creativity, and strong customer service.

Director of Custom Media & Strategic Product Development
In his role as director of Custom Media and Strategic Product Development, John develops and implements creative client solutions across digital, social and print platforms for all of Scranton-Gillette Communications’ brands. With a heavy focus on digital and new media, John works with clients to create integrated marketing programs that highlight client expertise, educate the market and engage new audiences with meaningful content. With nearly 20 years of experience managing client projects across a variety of industries, John and his team have a toolbox of innovative resources to identify and showcase every client’s unique advantage. Whether an interactive online event, a webinar or lunch & learn, a video, or an interactive publication, John can help you identify the right solution to build trust and awareness for your brand.
Raissa Rocha is content strategist for SGC Custom Media, leading the team's content development and strategy efforts for clients in multiple markets. Responsible for the management and execution of custom client-branded projects since 2014, Raissa is dedicated to understanding the compelling stories that companies want to share and connecting them with the right audiences in the right format that resonates. Raissa has been with Scranton Gillette Communications since 2011 and was part of the Building Design+Construction team that captured the Jesse H. Neal Award for Best Single Issue of a Magazine in 2014.
Katie has editorial experience covering a wide range of industries including home furnishings, water and infrastructure. With a background in newspaper and magazine journalism, Katie brings an eye for storytelling to the articles, case studies, videos and other content she creates for Scranton Gillette’s audiences and clients.
Jenelle Isaacson has been managing custom projects for SGC clients since 2018. She enjoys working with clients to identify the content solution that will bring the highest ROI for their product or brand. Jenelle believes that every client can have world-class communication, and works with large and small organizations to highlight their unique strengths and differences in an impactful way. After determining the appropriate messaging, Jenelle helps clients to identify the best platform for their message, whether it be traditional channels like case studies and native series, or digital channels like interactive virtual events and webinars. More recently, Jenelle has begun coordinating many of the team’s digital events, supporting clients as they work to expand their online presence.
